HAITI RELIEF! TROUTVILLE RESCUE SQUAD IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE OUR PARTCIPATION IN THE NATIONAL HAITI RELIEF EFFORT.
Troutville Fire Department and Rescue Squad will be a designated "drop off point" for donated goods. Please feel free to drop off any items listed below at our location.

This is a massive calamity and the urgent needs will continue for weeks, perhaps months. Troutville Fire/Rescue Dept. along with many other organizations will be collecting relief supplies for shipment to Haiti, with World Help handling the logistics.
Go online to www.worldhelp.net/haitito make an instant donation. Your financial contribution will provide funding needed for transportation, inspection, processing and shipping of these loads to Haiti.
We will have a box set up outside for drive by donations.

JANUARY 19TH UPDATE We started collecting Donation items on Jan.16TH, and as of today, received approx :
11 BAGS OF READY-TO-EAT FOOD
1,088 ASSORTED DIAPERS
58 GALLONS OF DISTILLED WATER
22 CASES (528 BOTTLES) OF WATER
10 BAGS OF ASSORTED CLOTHES AND SHOES
JANUARY 21ST UPDATE The first load of items (almost double the above) were delivered to a larger collection point this morning. From there they will be in the hands of a group called God's Pit Crew who will then transport the items to a port to be shipped.

JANUARY 26TH UPDATE A second load, almost double the size of the first load, was sent out this morning.
JANUARY 29TH UPDATE It's been 2 weeks and 3 days since the earthquake in Haiti and the donations keep flowing in. Many churches in the area have been collecting goods and dropping them off, including New Testament Baptist Church in Vinton, VA, who dropped of around 70 cases of water today.
